WASHINGTON, March 30, 2006—The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service invites U.S. food and beverage exporters to showcase their products in the USA Pavilion at World Food Moscow 2006 in Moscow, Russia, Sept. 26-29, 2006.
Held annually since 1992, World Food Moscow is the largest international food exhibition in Russia, offering an excellent opportunity to introduce U.S. food products. Last year’s show welcomed more than 1,100 exhibitors from 51 countries, and more than 50,000 trade representatives from all parts of Russia.
U.S. exports of consumer oriented agricultural products to Russia totaled more than $746 million in fiscal year 2005.
Exhibiting in the USA Pavilion at World Food Moscow 2006 will provide U.S. exporters and distributors with an easy, cost-effective way to promote products. Exhibitors also will have an opportunity to learn first-hand about regional market trends.
Products with the best prospects include snack foods, fresh and dried fruits, nuts, exotic juices, wines, fish and seafood, dried beans and lentils, wild and specialty rice, food ingredients, and prepared, canned and microwaveable foods.
