U.S. Agricultural Trade Office Announces Increased U.S. Exporter Participation in World Food Moscow 2006
MOSCOW, RUSSIA -- The U.S. Embassy, Moscow, Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) is pleased to announce that U.S. company participation at the World Food Moscow 2006 show will include U.S. exporters and trade associations in many different commodity groups, including meat, grocery, fruits, and seafood. On October 6-10, 2006, the U.S. Department of Agriculture will participate in the Russian Ministry of Agriculture’s “Golden Autumn” exhibition. The exhibition will be held at the VDNKh exposition center. Golden Autumn brings together top Russian agricultural executives, producers, processors, and decision makers, as well as representatives of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. Over eighty regions of Russia were represented at last year’s show, and the USDA group gave over sixty press interviews....

On October 20-24, produce buyers and suppliers will gather in San Diego for the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit 2006. In order to take advantage of the opportunities provided by this gathering, the FAS-Moscow Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) will lead a group of Russian buyers to the show. The Russian delegation will be able to establish contacts with American suppliers, sample the best fruits, vegetables, and nuts that the U.S. has to offer, and potentially make deals that will bring U.S. products to Russia....
