Golden Autumn 2008

USDA Sponsors U.S. Pavilion at Major Russian Agricultural Trade Show “Golden Autumn” Held in Moscow October 10-14, 2008

Foreign Agricultural Service traditionally participates at the Golden Autumn trade show by the invitation of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. Golden Autumn, now in its 10th year, has a unique Russian spirit and is alive with the culture and music of Russia and the CIS. The show represents a unique opportunity for American exporters to showcase agricultural advancements and innovation.

The U.S. Pavilion is coordinated by the Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) and is represented by American companies and trade associations for exports of beef, swine and poultry genetics, as well as chemicals, feed, and agricultural technologies. The U.S. Pavilion participants are seeking Russian partners with whom they can share their experience and explore business opportunities in Russia. The ATO staff also provides match making services for Russian importers at the U.S. Pavilion.

This year, representatives from the American Farm Bureau Federation, a national non-governmental organization of farmers and ranchers in America, and the U.S. Dairy Export Council will also attend Golden Autumn while they are in Russia for trade missions their organizations have organized.

The U.S. Pavilion at Golden Autumn will be led by the U.S. Embassy’s Agricultural Minister-Counselor, Mr. Scott Reynolds.
