| | | FEP success storiesFaculty Exchange program being an educational long term program for Russian professors in the area of agriculture increases their knowledge of, and ability to teach, agricultural economics and marketing, agribusiness, and agrarian law in a market based economy. In 2004 FEP students from Bashkiria, Moscow, Buriatia, Orel, Novosibirsk, Omsk are currently in the U.S. to do their study and research. Faculty exchange program notably concentrates this year on developing new courses in agricultural extension, which will be taught in newly created departments at respective universities. Faculty Exchange program is also concurrent for respective universities for converting to the BS, MS, PhD system as mandated under the Bolognia Convention recently signed by Russia. We also note successes of our FEP individuals: thus one recent FEP participant defended his thesis, another one from Kabardino-Balkaria wrote a book "Agriculture in the U.S.A.: The Principle Tendencies of Development, Economic Sustainability of the Branch".
